The Super Cohort on Climate Innovation is the result of a collaboration between Cycle Momentum and Esplanade Québec, leading accelerators for impact entrepreneurship and clean technology in Quebec.
At the heart of the Super Cohort is the desire to accelerate the socio-ecological transition through a collective approach that involves entrepreneurs from various sectors.
The 2023 edition of the Super Cohort (2nd edition) aims to both maximize the chances of success for young companies by addressing their challenges through specialized support, and to mobilize and unite ecosystem stakeholders in a collaborative effort to facilitate the alignment of practices and solutions. Ultimately, the goal is to respond more effectively to the challenges of transitioning our communities and territories
Currently, the technologies used for heating mines operate on fossil fuels, are polluting, and go against collective goals of carbon neutrality.
A decarbonized heating solution for underground mines, based on thermal storage of water, allowing for a reduction in the use of fossil fuels.
In the personal care sector, plastic packaging is still the norm despite its impact in terms of resource consumption, emissions, and non-recyclable waste.
Reusable, durable, and recyclable containers to eliminate single-use plastic applicators, such as a refillable deodorant applicator.
The construction industry and operation of our buildings contribute to nearly 40% of global CO2 emissions related to energy. However, to meet the housing needs of the population, 3.5 million homes need to be built in Canada by 2030.
Architectural design services for residential or commercial renovation or new construction projects, focused on eco-friendly and passive building construction.
The retail distribution of household and personal care products generates enormous amounts of plastic waste and greenhouse gas emissions related to the large volumes and weights of products transported.
More ecological cleaning and cosmetic products, in tablet and powder form, to reduce packaging and the environmental impact of transport.
Global electricity consumption related to Cloud Computing emits large amounts of greenhouse gases and generates a lot of heat, which is usually wasted.
An eco-friendly cloud computing solution deployed on a decentralized infrastructure at the edge, which reuses the heat generated by servers to heat domestic water.
Building heating is the second largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in major Canadian cities, accounting for 26% of emissions. They also consume a significant amount of water and energy to heat it.
An IoT technology for automated energy and water management, designed specifically for multi-resident or multi-functional buildings, using AI to operationalize energy intelligence and efficiency as well as water savings.
